Ledecky Dominates 800m Freestyle Event

Katie Ledecky has once again proven her dominance in the pool, winning the 800m freestyle at the World Championships for a sixth straight time. The victory marked Ledecky's 16th individual gold medal at the Worlds, surpassing Michael Phelps's record of 15.

A Dominant Performance

Ledecky's performance on Saturday was clinical. She led from start to finish, setting a blistering pace that her opponents could not match. The American swimmer finished the race in a time of 8:08.04, more than two seconds ahead of her nearest rival.

With this victory, Ledecky has now won every major 800m freestyle title since 2012, including three Olympic gold medals and six World Championships gold medals.
